JUTH GO FOR XMAS BREAK

The management of JUTH FC of Jos has announced a week break for the players and coaches of the club to enable them celebrate Xmas with their families and friends.

The break which start Monday 21st December will see players and Coching crew resume on 28th December, 2009 to commence preparation.

JUTH FC STILL SETTING THE PACE

Jos University Teaching Hospital Football club (JUTH FC) is still leading the pack in the National league division 1A despite playing a game less.

After playing 6 out of 7 games, JUTH FC stand on top of the table with 15 points with second placed team, Adamawa United having 12 points out of 7 games.

JUTH could not play her week 7 match against Mighty Jet in Jos because the opponent, Jet is indebted to the Nigeria Football Federation which led to its suspension form polaying league till further notice.

PROMOTION IS NOT NEGOTIABLE- JUTH PLAYERS

After an unimpressive performance against Babanawa in Offa, the players of JUTH FC have come out to apologize to the team's management,CMD as well as the fans for their woeful display in the game.

They said they know the managemnet and fans are not happy with them for the match, not because they lose but their performance is nothing to write home about.
They however vow to nick the promotion ticket.

The team's leading scorer, Sunday Omolade said "We know the management and everyone with the team are not happy with us, we cannot explain what happen, but we will do well in other games to come, all we have to say is sorry to the CMD, the management, coaches and our fans"

In his words, the team captain, Babawo Mohammed said it was just a bad day and that they will make the management and fans laugh at the end.

He said "On behalf of my teammates, I say sorry for or bad performance, it won't happen again, we cannot really say what is responsible for such display, We have put that behind us, we will get the needed promotion ticket at the end of the day"

Paul Ugo Efugh, known as Ayaya said "We had a disappointing game against Babanawa, we can explain it, we need not to look for any excuse, but we have to determine and do well in the remaining game, what I am sure of is our promotion to the premier, we will get that"

JUTH FC/MIGHTY JET DERBY PUT OFF

The much anticipated National Division1A week 7 local derby which pitch host, JUTH FC against city rival, Mighty Jets of Jos has been put on hold.

This was communicated to JUTH FC management by Nigeria football federation Interim league board.

The match which has been talked of the town since last week will not hold due to financial issues that Mighty Jets of Jos and some other National Division1 league both A and B have to settle.

New date is yet to be fixed for the game.

Meanwhile, JUTH FC Media officer, Olusola Alao has revealed that his team have forgotten the 1-4 loss to Babanawa United midweek in Offa.
He said it was just abad day for the team and that will not make them loss focus.

He said "We know that we are the team to beat by everyone based on our results in the first five games, we know that, but what happened in Offa when we played Babanawa can not be explain because our boys got it all wrong in the match, all their moves and steps were wrong, I can only say it is just a bad day for the players, that is bye gone now as we are looking forward to our next game, we won't allow that to derail us in our quest to gain promotion to Premier league at the end of the season"
